All 82 domes start to glow when Abu Dhabi’s sunlight falls on them. There are four towering minarets which are raised to about 107 meters into the sky. At the night, the special lights in the mosque make it appear like floating on water.
Once you step inside the mosque, your feet will be on the world’s largest hand woven carpet. It took 1,300 women 2 years to make this carpet. Now look up & you’ll see massive chandeliers decorated with Swarovski crystals and 24-karat gold. The largest one weighs about 11 tons, making it the biggest chandeliers in the world. This Mosque can accommodate about 55,000 visitors. The courtyard alone is stretched over 17,400 sq. meters that can accommodate 31,000 worshippers.
