2025 is almost halfway through, with only four months left for the New Year. But, tourists in the first 6 months in Dubai include 9.88 million international visitors already received in the first quarter of 2025. So, it is about 6% rise compared to the same time last year. This data report was released by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET).

The Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, sees this achievement as a testament to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, to make the city one of the top three international tourism hubs. This is clearly outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
Sheikh Hamdan on X wrote, “This achievement became a reality due to the strong private and public partnerships. Besides, the credit also goes to the global marketing strategies. So, we welcome everyone to Dubai- the heart of the world.”
Dubai welcomed approximately 18.72 million international visitors between January and December last year. So, it is a 9% year-on-year increase from the previous year. In 2023, Dubai welcomed 17.15 million international visitors.
Well, tourists in the first 6 months in Dubai have increased significantly, thanks to the UAE’s strategic location. Dubai sits at the crossroads of East and West. Besides, the city has excellent connectivity and is a pioneer in terms of infrastructure. So, it eventually became one of the top global travel destinations in the world.
