The Emirates Park Zoo is Abu Dhabi’s first private zoo. It is indeed a wonderful world that has everything to delight you – a zoo, an aquarium, a petting zoo, animal shows, and a lot more. It keeps 1700 animals – wild cats, birds of prey, sea lions, zebras, reptiles, and many more. There are even shaded inside along with a misting system that keeps visitors cool.

Things to See at Emirates Park Zoo
- Animal theatre: The park has a huge animal theatre in which groups of visitors are shown rare animals like baby crocodiles and falcons.
- Elephant experience: If you fancy feeding an elephant, Madu and Rada are waiting for you to offer them foliage.
- Sealion show
Swanny, Songa, and Still are the sea lions that live in the park. They show off their skills in famous shows like juggling, break-dancing, and standing on flippers.
- Azonto drum and dance team: The park’s resident band will cheer you up with traditional African music. Coming from Ghana, the lovely group gets you dancing, and often the animals join in too!

Entry Timing and Fees
The zoo is open from Sunday through Wednesday from 9 am to 8 pm. From Thursday to Saturday as well as public holidays, the zoo is open from 9 am to 9 pm.
No tickets are required for children below 3 years, for 3 to 16-year-olds, tickets priced 30 AED are to be bought, for those above 16 years, 35 AED needs to be paid. Activity pass cards are available, and separate tickets can be bought for activities like animal feeding, childhood experiences, etc.
History
In 2008, the Emirates Park Zoo inaugurated a small feeding farm. It expanded into a full-blown zoo in 2012. Ever since that time, the management has toiled so that the zoo is well maintained, with attractions being added regularly, to lure maximum visitors.
How to Reach from Dubai and Abu Dhabi
Although there is no direct connection from Dubai to Emirates Park Zoo, you can take the Metro to Ibn Battuta Mall, from there walk to Ibn Battuta Metro, and hop on to the bus to Shahama. The Emirates Park Zoo will be some steps away. Alternatively, a taxi will take you straight to the Emirates Park Zoo.
Emirates Park Zoo is situated on 12th Street, Al Bahia, Abu Dhabi, UAE and this is 35 km away from downtown Abu Dhabi city. It takes 35 to 45 minutes to reach the Zoo from the Abu Dhabi bus station.
